Chesterfield breeze past Southend United

Phil Brown’s Shrimpers were outplayed entirely by Chesterfield at Roots Hall Following a hat trick from Danny Rowe and a goal from Saidou Khan.

Chesterfield showed their dominance all over the field, preventing the home side from having any threatening shot on target.

Martin Out roared across the pitch throughout the game, and a pitch invasion occurred in the 75’ minute, which prevented the sides from playing.

Chesterfield exited the game restarting their previously impressive form and with a clean sheet to top it.

Southend went back to losing ways, with the fans discontent and anger towards club owner Ron Martin flourishing game by game.

Southend’s only shot on target came from a 30 yard low driven shot from Nathan Ferguson. However, the strike was easily saved by Scott Loach, who had a dull game.

Southend’s season continues to disappoint the Shrimper fans. They’ll be aiming for a better performance in their next game against Chertsey Town in the fourth qualifying round of the F.A Cup.
